The Nitrous Competitions Racing Team enjoyed another highly successful weekend at Knockhill, leaving Scotland with three podium finishes, two race victories, and an increased championship lead for Kyle Ryde.
Despite challenging conditions and limited track time during Friday’s sessions, the team worked efficiently throughout the weekend to maximise performance from both machines. Strategic decisions made early in the event paid dividends as track conditions improved, allowing both riders to demonstrate the progress that has been made with the bike setup in recent rounds.
Championship leader Kyle Ryde once again showcased his consistency and pace, securing two race victories and an additional third-place finish across the weekend’s three races. The strong results enabled Ryde to further extend his advantage at the top of the championship standings, maintaining valuable momentum as the season approaches its halfway stage.
A major highlight for the team came in Race One, where both riders stood on the podium together for the first time. Glenn continued his impressive development throughout the season, securing his maiden podium finish of the 2026 campaign and delivering a reward for the hard work put in by both rider and crew. His results across the weekend also saw him move up a position in the championship standings, further strengthening the team’s presence near the front of the field.

Kyle Ryde: “Knockhill was a very successful weekend for us. Securing two race wins and a third-place finish made it another consistent weekend for me.
We missed a lot of track time on Friday, but it was a decision we felt would be more beneficial in the long term, with the weather forecast looking better later in the weekend. Despite the limited track time, the bike felt strong, and I’ve extended my championship lead. Now it’s time for a nice rest before I’m back in action in two weeks’ time”
Glenn Irwin: “We had a very strong start to the weekend and made some good progress with the bike setup. Qualifying on the first three rows was important for us, especially at a small, tight circuit like Knockhill, which we achieved. That allowed me to push through the pack and secure my first podium of the 2026 season.
This was pretty special and something both the team and I needed. We have some plans for Snetterton in two weeks’ time and want to keep pushing for that maiden 2026 win. I know I have it in me”
