Nitrous Competitions Racing returned to action at Brands Hatch for Round 5 of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, where Kyle Ryde and Glenn Irwin once again demonstrated Kyles speed and Glenn’s determination in front of a passionate Kent crowd.

Following a productive weekend in practice, both riders showed strong pace from the outset, allowing the team to build confidence heading into qualifying and the three feature races around the iconic Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

Kyle Ryde continued his impressive championship campaign with another series of competitive performances, consistently running at the front of the field and fighting for podium positions throughout the weekend backed up by a new lap record and fastest ever 2 wheel lap of Brands Hatch. Displaying excellent race craft and determination, Ryde added another valuable haul of championship points, maintaining his challenge at the sharp end of the standings.

After missing much of the previous round following his accident at Snetterton, Glenn Irwin made a determined return to action. Despite carrying the effects of his earlier injuries, Irwin showed his trademark fighting spirit, working his way into the leading group and battling hard throughout the weekend. His performances highlighted both his resilience and the team’s continued progress as they look to build momentum through the second half of the season.

The Nitrous Competitions Racing crew once again delivered faultless preparation across the weekend, providing both riders with competitive race bikes capable of fighting at the front. Their hard work throughout practice, qualifying and race day ensured the team remained firmly in contention across every session.

Brands Hatch once again delivered close, exciting racing, with every position fiercely contested from lights out to the chequered flag. While there were plenty of positives to take away, the team knows there is still more performance to unlock with both bikes and riders as attention now turns to the next round of the championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
